This Cover of Ice Ice Baby From Marty Ray is the Best Thing You Have Ever Heard

There are not a lot of videos out there that make me really stop and pay attention. However, I stopped in my tracks the other day when I came across Marty Ray’s cover of Ice Ice Baby. Honestly, this is the best thing you have ever heard.

We all remember the huge song Ice Ice baby that made rapper Vanilla Ice a superstar. Well, Marty Ray has taken this classic and turned it into one of the more catchy videos you will see. With a simple guitar in hand and blending a combo of rock, blues, country and gospel he has managed to create a cover of the song that you will play over and over.

Who Is Marty Ray?

According to his Facebook Fan Page Marty Ray was born in Memphis, TN and raised in Blytheville, AR Marty has a true love and passion for the south. He came from a supportive family, for the most part. Being from a family of musicians, preachers, singers, and songwriters it was definitely in his blood from birth.

He heads up the “Marty Ray Project,” a band that combines Country to Rock, Blues to Pop with a splash of Gospel. If you haven’t heard of them you soon will, as they look like they may be ready to break through. Either way, this cover of Ice Ice Baby is still the best thing you have ever heard. Check it out below. I am sure you will put it on repeat as it is as catchy a cover as you will find.
