Though the love that Emily Thorne (aka Amanda Clarke) has for her father will undoubtedly last “infinity times infinity”, such is not the case for the show in which her story is portrayed. ABC’s hit tv series, Revenge, was officially given the blood red Sharpie “X” today, turning its May 10th season finale into a series finale. The show’s journey has lead us down a four season long road full of twists and shocking betrayals. And while the story itself was not always consistent there was one thing that I could always count on: the music in every episode would be amazing and perfect for whatever the show threw at us next.

Aside from being what I believe to be a solid series overall I also credit this show with sparking my interest in exploring lesser known artists. Although the show did highlight mainstream talent such as Lorde, Iggy Azalea, and most notably Florence and the Machine (with a haunting, Wes Anderson’esque slow motion scene featuring their song “Seven Devils”), they seemed to focus more on artists who were slightly more underground or at least not as well known in the states. Taking it a season at a time I have narrowed down a list of my favorite artists that I discovered as a result of watching this series. I highly recommend not only checking out each of these artists for yourself but also taking the time to delve into Emily Thorne’s story where you will no doubt find new music that you will fall in love with just as I have.
